When one of them is the better choice
Rescue Hub is not a records management system. We don’t do NFIRS or NERIS reporting, ePCR, pre-plans, inspections, or scheduling, and we’re not planning to. We don’t sell a thousand-hour off-the-shelf course catalog. If you’re replacing your whole records and response stack at once, or you need one vendor spanning every department in the city, a larger platform is genuinely the right call and we’ll say so on the demo.
We’re for departments whose training records are the thing that actually hurts — and who would rather fix that in a week than run a two-year platform migration.
Questions departments ask before they choose
- What are the main alternatives to Rescue Hub for fire department training?
- The software fire departments most often weigh against Rescue Hub falls into two groups. Enterprise learning platforms — TargetSolutions and the wider Vector Solutions portfolio — sell training as one vertical among many industries. All-in-one fire platforms — First Due, and Emergency Reporting now moving to ESO Fire RMS — sell training as one module inside a records management system. Rescue Hub is neither: it does fire and EMS training only, at a published price.
- How much does Rescue Hub cost?
- $50 per staff member per year, with every feature included. A 15-person department pays $750, a 40-person department pays $2,000, a 75-person department pays $3,750, and a 150-person department pays $7,500. Onboarding, data import, and staff training are free. There are no tiers, modules, or add-ons, and you do not need a sales call to find the number.
- Why do the other platforms not publish their pricing?
- They are all quoted per agency, priced by the products or modules you license and by how many people you have. That is a normal enterprise sales model, but it means two departments of the same size can pay very different amounts, and you cannot compare options without booking calls. We publish ours so you can compare us against a quote you already have.
- Can Rescue Hub replace our records management system?
- No. Rescue Hub is not an RMS. We do not do NFIRS or NERIS incident reporting, ePCR, pre-plans, inspections, hydrants, apparatus checks, or scheduling, and we are not planning to. Most departments run Rescue Hub for training alongside whatever RMS they already have.
- Do we have to replace our current system to try Rescue Hub?
- No. If you are under contract elsewhere, you can run Rescue Hub free until your term ends — we migrate your training data and build your task books at no cost, so there is no overlap to pay for. Most departments are live in about a week.
- When is one of the other platforms the better choice?
- When you need a large off-the-shelf course catalog, when you are replacing your whole records and response stack at once and want a single vendor behind all of it, or when a city or county is standardizing many departments on one suite. We will say so on the demo rather than take a bad-fit deal.
